Hueday

Hueday alternative: a birthday colour you can actually use

Hueday generates a colour from a full date, birth year included, so two people born on the same day in different years get different colours. Here is how that differs from a fixed colour per calendar day.

Written from each product's own public pages. Their page, for reference: arcade.pirillo.com/hueday

Where Hueday is the better choice

If you want the colour to be unique to a person rather than to a date - two people born on the same day should not get the same answer - Hueday's year-inclusive generator does that, and ours deliberately does not.

Questions people ask about Hueday

Should a birthday colour include the year?

That is a choice rather than a fact. A year-inclusive generator makes the colour unique to one person; a fixed calendar day makes it something everyone born that day can share. We chose the calendar day, so 366 colours cover the whole year.

Does the colour change from year to year here?

No. September 18 is the same colour in every year on this site, which is what lets a printed or shared colour still match the page later.

Can I still get a shareable result?

Yes. Every day page has a share control that copies the colour and its hex value, and a share card image is one of the plans for the paid report.
